Our Programming
As Uptown’s budding queer event capital, Queermunity hosts an ever-growing calendar of joy, culture, and connection. Below, you’ll find our recurring weekly and monthly events—like Brocialize, Friday Friend Lab, Trans Resilience Night, and Fruit Salad Open Mic. We also co-create many one-off happenings, special gatherings, and partner-led events that keep things fresh on the daily. Friday Friend Lab
Fridays* 4pm - 8pm
Community, good food, crafting and board games! Basic craft supplies and board games are provided. Use whats available in our free board game library and craft area or bring your own!

Blood Drive
July 29th 12pm - 6pm
Every 2 seconds someone in the U.S. needs blood. Snacks provided for those giving blood. We'll also be playing the Twilight movies during the drive, be entertained while giving blood!

Can't commit to joining a community choir for a full season, or just want to try singing in a choir for a night? Learn an an arrangement of 'Light' from the musical Next to Normal!

Friday Friend Lab > Every week 4pm - 8pm. Join us for a crafting and board game night. General games and craft supplies available for use, or bring your own! Plus, get 10% off drinks at the Café 4pm - 6pm.
Let’s Do Coffee > Every 1st and 3rd Thursday from 9:30 to 11 AM, join a cozy gathering for LGBTQ+ folks 60+ to connect, unwind, and share stories over coffee and snacks. Conversation optional, community guaranteed.
Trans Health Insurance Help > Every 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month, from 1 PM to 5 PM, come get support signing up for health insurance with the help of trans navigators. No judgment, no jargon, just care. Walk-ins welcome!
Reading Rainbow Storytime > Monthly on the second Sunday from 1 PM to 2:30 PM. Join us for a monthly story hour with the Ladies of the Lakes! We are excited to go on an adventure with you all, reading and learning together!
Beats and Breath > Every Saturday 11 AM to 12 PM — This class combines the foundations of yoga with the energy of music, making space for breathwork, balance, and fun for all bodies. A great way to start the weekend!
Trans Resilience Night > Monthly on the third Sunday (4PM - 7 PM), come join us for a gender affirming gear giveaway and community hang out!
Segundo Sabado > Monthly on the second Saturday (12:30 PM - 2:30 PM), a peer-to-peer, Spanish-language, informal social support space for Latine LGBTQIA+ identified folks and their loved ones.
Fruit Salad> Monthly on the 4th Thursday. Sign-ups start at 5:30pm. Show at 6pm. Whether you're an experienced artist, want to share your work in public for the first time in an intimate and uplifting space, or just love to experience local artistry, Fruit Salad is the place for you!
Quiet Community Reading Club > Every Sunday, grab a warm beverage from the café and gather with other book lovers to read your chosen books in a quiet space, without any required discussion or assigned reading material. Sit in the conversation circle if you’re up to chat about books!
