Knit Happens is Queermunity’s weekly gathering space for casual creativity, connection, and cozy chaos. Whether you’re into crafts, games, coloring, or just vibing with queer community, there’s something here for you. All ages and skill levels are welcome, and all materials for structured activities are provided—just bring yourself (and maybe a friend or two). Come as you are, stay as long as you like, and leave with a little more joy (and maybe a handmade boob or two). 🧶💬

Registration is not required.

Knit Happens Schedule

4–8 PM: Board Games
Bring a favorite board or card game to teach and play, or join in on something someone else brought to share.

4–8 PM: Adult Coloring
Relax and color! We’ll provide art pages, pencils, and markers. All ages welcome.

5–6 PM: Knitting for Beginners
Whether you’ve never picked up needles, know a little bit, or want to grow your skills—even if you think you’re “bad” at it—this is the space for you. All supplies are provided for basic instruction. Kid-, family-, and adult-friendly. (Ages 5+)

6–8 PM: Stitch & Bitch (aka Chatty Crafters)
Bring your knitting, crochet, cross-stitch, embroidery, or any other portable craft for some good conversation while you create. Swap tips, build community, and get involved! Ask about “Go Knit a Dick” and “Knit Your Tits”—projects that support gender-affirming care by creating handmade comfort items for yourself or others.
