Ted, but Queer
The Archive Is Alive: Queer Elders in Story is a gathering that honors intergenerational wisdom by spotlighting queer elders across cultures and identities. This intimate event is designed to celebrate the lives, stories, and legacies of LGBTQ+ community members who have helped shape the world we live in today.
Our featured storytellers—Roseanna Hudgins, Frank Trnka, and a Special Guest—will each offer a 10-minute TED-style talk of their choosing. Talks may be delivered with or without a visual aid such as a slideshow or images; this is entirely up to each speaker.
Following the presentations, all three speakers will be joined in a facilitated discussion led by Kyra Crawford Calvert. This conversation will create space for reflection, connection, and shared insights across the speakers’ diverse backgrounds and experiences.
We’ll then open the floor for an audience dialogue, inviting those in attendance to ask questions, share reflections, and contribute to the living archive we are building together.
